Take the controlled record on site.
Lunr for iPhone and Android puts the current revision in your hand. Scan the QR in a printed title block to open the controlled document, download a collection of documents for offline access, and submit a redline request from where you stand.
Two apps, one record.
Both apps read the same repository your team works in. Sign in once, and the record on the phone is the record at your desk.
iPhone
Download Lunr from the App Store and sign in with your Lunr account. The repository you work in every day opens on the phone in your pocket.
Android
Download Lunr from Google Play and sign in with your Lunr account, so a crew running mixed handsets works from one record.
- View PDFs, and rotate a page to read it the way it was plotted.
- Switch between repositories without signing out, if your team has more than one.

Check the sheet in your hand against the record.
Where a printed sheet carries a QR code, scan it on site and Lunr opens the live controlled document, so you always know the sheet in your hand matches the current revision.
- Scan a document QR to open the controlled document and read its current revision.
- Scan a project QR for quick access to the project details.
- Open a link to a document in the app rather than the browser.

Search it, or find it on the map.
Search the repository from the phone with advanced filters, or open the map, pick your layers, and search the other documents that sit inside the bounds of the one you are viewing.
- Run a search with advanced filters, including XRAY detection, exact matching, and archived documents.
- Sort the result set the way you want to read it.
- Open the map view and choose which layers to show.
- Search other documents using the bounds of the document currently in view.

Download a collection before you lose signal.
A plant room, a tunnel, a substation basement: the places you need a drawing are often the places with no reception. Download the documents you need as a collection before you go, and read them when you get there.
fig. 05.1 · the documents you picked travel with you, encrypted on the device, until the collection expires
Pick the documents you need, and the app downloads them with their metadata as a collection.
A downloaded collection carries an expiry, configured by your organisation, so nothing lingers on a handset indefinitely.
Access refreshes when you sign in online, so the collection you carry stays within its window.
Collection files held on the device carry app-level and file-level encryption.
Take what the job needs, and let the collection lapse when the job is done. Read how Lunr handles data on the security page.
Keep the project moving from the field.
Open the project you are standing in, read its documents and its history, comment on a change request, and move a document to its next workflow state without waiting until you are back at a desk.
Browse the project list, then open a project's documents, history, and members, and search within it.
Work the change request list with filters, and open the documents, history, and comments on each one.
Open the RFI section under a project and read what has been asked and answered.
Move a controlled document to its next state, on the workflow your organisation configured.
Comment on a document and attach a file, including a photo taken with the camera.
Submit a redline request from the document viewer.
The app is one way into the record. See how it sits alongside revision control, XRAY search, and handover on the features page.
